The honest ones. The ones we wish someone had asked us before we sold almost everything and moved to Albania.

We're April and Moe. In 2026 we quit our jobs, sold most of what we owned, and moved from Jacksonville, Florida to Vlorë, Albania in 86 days.

We'd never been to Albania. We didn't take a scouting trip. We figured a lot of it out on the way, and some of it we got embarrassingly wrong.

This is the list of questions we wish someone had put in front of us before we started. Not "what's the visa process" — you can google that. The other ones. The ones about money you haven't admitted to yourself, the ones about whether you and your partner actually want the same thing, the one about what you'd do if it didn't work.

Twenty-five questions. No answers, because they're not ours to give. Just the questions, in the order that made sense to us.
